Is XFX GeForce 7600 GS 512MB PCIe apposite?

That's a fairly biddable mid-range graphics card. You should be able to play most, except all, games smoothly on lofty graphics detail.

As for the compatibility range, a short time ago make sure your motherboard uses a PCI Express graphics slot to output graphics. A regular PCI port is incompatible and not an choice.
You need to be more specific than intel motherboard... this card would be supported by any motherboard that have an available PCI Express slot, but to answer your question YES IT IS A GOOD CARD!
For a $100 - $140 inventory video card yes.

Requires least a 400 Watt power supply.

You will call for 18 amps @ 12 V to run it.
This card would be faster:

Or this one which is even faster:

Use this chart to compare cards:

As for what card it can use, either look up the model of the motherboard or inventor of the computer (and it's model) and see if it has AGP or PCI-Express or of late pci only slots.
Okay GPU for midlevel gaming . If you are goin for hardcore gaming than turn on onto Nvidia 8800 GTX . You should try Intel 945 P Motherboards
