iTune Songs Purchased?

You are allowed to burn any song purchased from the iTunes music store to a compact disc.

Once you burn the song, or songs, to a CD, they no longer own any sort of copy protection. You can "rip" or import the songs from the disc onto your computer using iTunes or another program. Using iTunes you can import them as MP3, AAC, WAV, or AIFF files.

When you do this conversion, you will be sacrifice some audio quality, because the audio have now be compressed twice (once by the iTunes store, and once when you import from CD). However, these songs no longer enjoy any copy protection and can be played on any computer.
Just back them up to DVD or an external firm drive. Then when you are ready to restore them on your investigational computer, you can just introduction them. You will need your username/passwd to do this to prove you own the license for each of those songs.
