i know that its not DX10 and sm4 and that the 8800GTS is better and the R600 will come out, but will this card still play some of the most recent games (bf2, prey, crysis) with 2gb hit and an E6600

and is $299 a good deal for it?

Well from a review i just read up on the card seem to be very appropriate and i can't see any problems arising playing the same you want to play :)
