Most TV's presently have HDMI output slots where on earth it's totally possible to hook them to a computer. Depending on the configuration, you may need an extra cord or two. But yes, it's possible.
You should check if your pc's video adapter (card) have a TV-out connection (like an RF or an S-video connection). In that grip you will be able to plug your notebook on your tv and be able to use both your tv and monitor. I would check my video card's guide if i were you
If your video card have a "video-out" plug and you have the appropriate cable, probably. You then want to enable the TV-out function within the video card through the drivers.

Keep in mind that enable such feature may parameter your monitor's display modes, and the result may STILL be unreadable on the TV.
it depends on your graphics, most graphics cards(assuming it's not on board graphics)nowadays hold TV OUT socket/s on them enabling the nouns of a s-video cable to tv from the card
