i updated my ancient pc from window 98 to windows XP presently the sound card wont work. is here a way i can get hold of it to work or should i just carry a new nouns card. [|:o)
is within a channel to win my nouns card(creative lab 16 vibra)to work on my dated workstation that i updated to XP?
goto www.creative.com and download the drivers for it, then install the card, next install the software....thats it
if there arent driivers for XP on the website - thats because that card is so aged, or too crappy for creative to update---but you can buy an Audigy2 @ wal-mart for $25.00
since youve already got the card installed, only just goto the website and use the auto-update - youre gonna have a helluva time using XP near a underpowered dinosaur like that ....
You could check at www.driversguide.com to see if they hold a driver for xp
If you have the drivers, and this mechanism runs XP, it should work well. As a concern of fact, beside a Creative 16, XP probably has the drivers contained by its library that come with the OS.
Normally in attendance should be any problem for WinXP to detect and install driver for older nouns card like SB16 vibra. But you also may try download the the driver from http://www.soundblaster.com/support...
If this still don't work out, conceivably your SB got problem....
